2:20. കർത്താവും രക്ഷിതാവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്താൽ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മാലിന്യം വിട്ടോടിയവർ അതിൽ വീണ്ടും കുടുങ്ങി തോറ്റുപോയാൽ അവരുടെ ഒടുവിലത്തെ സ്ഥിതി ആദ്യത്തേതിനെക്കാൾ അധികം വഷളായിപ്പോയി.

2:20. For if after they have escaped the filthy things of the world through the rich knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they again get entangled in them and succumb to them, their last state has become worse for them than their first.

2:20. And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before.

2:20. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state is become worse with them than the first.

2:20. People can be made free from the evil in the world. They can be made free by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But if they go back into those evil things and are controlled by them, then it is worse for them than it was before.
